Betty Jean Flickinger 76, of Hamshire died July 6, 2005 at Herman Baptist Memorial Hospital in Beaumont.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church of Stowell with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Dr. in Winnie. A gathering of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
A native of Cheek, Mrs. Flickinger was a resident of the Hamshire area for over 45 yrs. She was a retired LVN nurse.
Mrs. Flickinger is survived by her sons Ron Flickinger and his wife Barbara of Hamshire and Wade Flickinger and his wife Diann of Sour Lake; daughter Lana Kunefke and her husband, John of Hamshire; sisters Viola Broussard of High Island, Lois Shane of New Caney, Joyce Jarvis of Marshall and Ruth Wardlow of Georgia; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
