Curtis Lynn...I'm not sure who this is supposed to be addressed to .... but Curtis... this ones for you! It seems as though it were yesterday that we were those punk kids terrorizing (or so we let on) good ole' HJ!! I wonder how many of them (teachers and classmates) truely seen behind the masks we wore or through the cracks in the walls we built to safeguard our "true selfs", camoflauge our identities, guard us from criticism, shield us from hurt, possible even right our wrongs at times (?)(naw) Not many, yet, there were always those that no matter what mask we wore ..how strong our walls had been built they somehow seen right through and as the song goes.. break on through to the other side. Those we knew were "the ones worth letting in", the ones we've kept in touch with...Our "true friends". The rest... well they were fun while they lasted huh ~ ha :o) You were one of the few that somehow knew me for me... and nothing ever kept me from throwing it in your face JUST How Intelligent You Really Were! And geez aren't you the HOOT TO BOOT! You were probably sooo intelligent that you actually fooled quite a few... aaaa hundreds? (haha) But not ME! (O no.. not Lucy.. that'll be .05 cents (haayyy whered that sense key go?) Just a few months ago... you stopped by..if that long ago.. (as you have every so often for the past 20 years. "Thank you" for that! You always were the one to keep in touch because you knew (and I can see that crooked lil smile as I type ~) that wherever I was you were always welcome and your company was enjoyed. Needless to say... you stopped by ...broken hearted...tears in your eyes and words or should I say feelings that seemed to flow like the quadalupe~ only to collide mid stream with mine.... both at times drifting smoothly, then thrashing and cutting ever soo roughly while pouring out our innermost ....innermost...like a flood mush.. We talked of everything that could be in this mixed up crazy world...flirted with the good and condemed the bad..... whined because the store we chose to go to didn't have MUNCH bars...realizing that was probably the most horrible thing that could happen to us "that" night, and then we concluded it with the phrase...~ " Life is too short" ~Wow~ Well... Curtis LYNN... you will always be a True Friend ... No matter where I am.. or who I'm with... don't forget you are welcome... no drive bys..... only drive UPs! I'm gonna miss that crooked lil smile~ love ya Sandi
