Eddie Ervin “Junior” Jordan, 78, of Kountze passed away on Friday, July 1, 2005 at his residence. Funeral service will be Sunday, July 3, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Broussard’s Chapel 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas 77625 with burial to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be today from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
A native of Oakdale, Louisiana “Junior” lived in Kountze for 49 years and was a Maintenance Supervisor for the City of Kountze and Fire Marshall for 20 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 grandsons.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Dorothy Jordan of Kountze; children: Sue Cleveland and husband Robert of Kountze, Charlotte Wimer and husband Calvin of Kountze, David A. Jordan of Arlington and Mark Jordan and wife Trudy of Kountze; 12 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren; sisters: Violet Powell of Nederland, Velma Anderson of Hemphill and 1 brother: Billy Jordan of Vidor. The family would like to say a very special Thank You for the care and consideration given to them by the staff of Hospice of Texas.
