Louise “Aunt Lou” Armstrong, 92, of Beaumont died June 3, 2005 at The Clairmont. She was born on July 31, 1912 in El Reno, Oklahoma to John and Rosa Brown Welter moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1957 until 1998. Aunt Lou worked for First National Bank as an executive secretary for the trust department until her retirement then moved to Beaumont in 1998.
She is survived by her niece, Pat Ford and her husband Watt of Beaumont; nephew, Jack Reidy of Beaumont; eight great nieces and nephews, Watt Ford, III and his wife Jennifer, Catharine Sonnenberg and her husband John, Scott Ford and his wife Lisa, John Ford and his wife Michea, Ann Shorts and her husband Will, Patricia Nantz and her husband Bob, Jean Elrod and her husband Danny; many great great nieces and nephews; very special friend, Alison McLaughlin Daurelle and her son, Maxine Daurelle of St. Louis, Missouri. Preceded in death by her husband, Bob Armstrong.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2005 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church Chapel. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church until service time. A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth under the direction of Broussard’s, North Major Drive, Beaumont.
