Lucy Murrell, 79, of Winnie died June 2, 2005 at her residence.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Monday, June 6, 2005 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Winnie with burial in Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday and Sunday evenings 4:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. A rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:30 pm at
St. Louis Catholic Church.
She was born in Opellousas, Louisiana to Arthur and Alma Leger. She has lived most of her life in Winnie where she attended St. Louis Catholic Church and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society.
She is survived by sons Ronald Murrell of Winnie, Michael Murrell and wife Sheila of Sour Lake, Charles Murrell of Winnie, Louis Murrell of Winnie, David Murrell and wife Dina of Winnie, Edward Murrell and wife Joyce of Winnie; daughter Susan Murrell of Winnie; brother Percy Leger of Vinton, La, half sister Helen DeWitt of Conroe; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
