Jesse “Andy” Vance, 89, of Silsbee, died Friday, May 20, 2005 at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home.
A native of Newlin, Louisiana, he lived in Silsbee since 1977 and retired with Metal Arts in Houston as an inspector with eleven years of service. Andy was a United States Navy veteran.
Survivors include his daughters, Norma Williams of Beaumont, Irene Knighten and Frances Ford and her husband Jerome all of Silsbee; son, Jesse A. Vance, Jr. and his wife Alice of San Antonio; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
His wife, Mary Vance, preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 22, 2005 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, May 21, 2005 at the mortuary.
