Sarah Imogene “Gene” Holmes, 75, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
A native of Stamps, Arkansas, she lived in Beaumont for fifty-two years.
Survivors include her daughters, Vickie Jean Holmes of Beaumont and Linda Gail Holmes of California; sister, Janette Couch of Texarkana, Texas; step granddaughter, Monica LeBoeuf Sites of Florida; nieces, Kathy Oslos and her husband Craig of Fort Worth and Lynette Couch of Texarkana, Arkansas; nephew, Tommy Couch of Texarkana, Texas; great niece, Nichole Couch of Texarkana, Texas.
Her husband, Billy Holmes, of the Beaumont Police Department, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon Saturday at the mortuary.
