Verna Mae Vasquez, 53, of Beaumont died April 17, 2005 at San Jacinto Hospital in Baytown. She was born in Galveston,Texas and has been a resident of the Beaumont area for the past twenty-six years.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell Bland of Beaumont; sons, J.R. Vasquez of Lake Charles, Brian Vasquez of Beaumont; daughters, Christina Harrison of Beaumont, Julie Tate of Dallas; sisters, Barbara Lewis of Arkansas, Betty Jo Thompson of Santa Fe; four grandchildren, Jordan Sachitano, Bryce Tate, Morgan Tate and Emma Derutte.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2005 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will begin 5:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the mortuary.
