Lena Mae Thomas, 91, of Silsbee, died Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on March 29, 1926, to Nellie Rose and Benjamin Steverson.
Lena is survived by her daughter, Retha Smith of Silsbee; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharon Bennett Sirmons; and son, John W. Thomas.
A gathering of Mrs. Thomas’ family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 14, 2017, with her funeral service at 3:00 p.m., at Faith Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, 3345 Highway 69 South, Kountze. Her interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.
