Gloria Norton, 54, of Nome died April 14, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital. A native of Beaumont and a resident of Nome for the past twenty-five years, Gloria worked as a program coordinator for Communities in Schools Inc. She loved her family and going on road trips with them. She will always be remembered as being outgoing.
Gloria is survived by her husband, John Norton of Nome; sons, John T. Norton, Jr. and his wife Jami and Chris Norton all of Nome; brothers, Robert Wilcox and his wife Rita, Billy Wilcox and his wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Hailey Norton and Sarah Norton; and other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gladys Wilcox.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2005 at Haven of Rest Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday evening, April 17, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m at the mortuary.
