Edward Reeves, Jr., 72, of Kountze, Texas, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Broussard’s, 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas with burial to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be April 15, 2005 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
A native of Ragley, Louisiana, Edward lived in Kountze for 50 years and was a retired Clerk for Trunkline Gas Company with 37 years of service and was a store Manager for ABC Medical Supply in Kountze with many years of service. Edward attended First Baptist Church of Kountze and was also a Deacon in the church.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Reeves of Kountze; sons, Dwayne Reeves and his wife, Sally of Spring, Texas and Darrell Reeves and his wife Patti of Spring, Texas; sisters, Betty Meadows of DeRidder, Louisiana, Evon Lambert of Ragley, Louisiana, and Eddie Glenn Kelley of Westlake, Louisiana; and four grandchildren, Justin Reeves, Michelle Reeves, Matthew Reeves and Amanda Reeves.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 Monroe, Kountze, Texas 77625.
