Rudy Carrillo, 72, of Beaumont, died Monday, April 11, 2005 at his home.

A native of Houston, he lived in the Beaumont area most of his life, and was owner and operator of Pancho’s Paint and Body Shop for fifty years. Rudy was a United States Army Veteran and a long time member of St. Anthony Cathedral.

Rudy was such a very special person to so many friends and family. He was very active in the Golden Gloves Boxing Association, an avid lover of the Houston Texans football team, and loved to work out. His life exemplified how much of a caring person he was to everyone he knew and met. His love for family and his pride in his nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews meant the world to him. His friends at Changing Times will always remember Rudy’s special friendship and will never be forgotten.

All the special memories will be forever cherished especially those great jokes like, his “Are You Yellow or Scared”, will always make us laugh. Nothing will ever be the same without our “Rudy Booty Tooty.” He always showed a special love for his cat Lucky-Dog.

Survivors include his brother, Randy Carrillo of West Palm Beach, Florida; sister, Lillie Gonzales and her husband Alfred of Beaumont; nieces, Debbie Holton and her husband David of Beaumont, Christina Pastrano and her husband Mike of Houston, and Morgan Carrillo of West Palm Beach, Florida; nephews, Chris Gonzales and his wife Cindy of Beaumont and Michael Gonzales and his wife Cindy of Houston; eleven great nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 15, 2005 at St. Anthony Cathedral with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A Christian Vigil will be 6:00 P.M. Thursday, April 14, 2005 at the mortuary.

My Dear Uncle Rudy, I don't know where to begin, but to tell you how much I love you. I know that you knew I love you, because I would tell you every time I talked to you. Uncle Rudy I wish I could open my eyes and realize that this is just a dream, that your really not gone. You had so much unfinished business to take care of. We had so much to share with me, mom (Sis), dad (Alfred), Chris, Michael, amd Christina. Your nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews needed you. You were looking forward to Aaron's graduation. This would be the first time you would close the shop down. This will the first graduation for one of your nephews - especially at one of the finest universities UT. I know Uncle Rudy how proud you are of Aaron. You could see how proud you were of all your great nieces and nephews. Your niece Heather - the eskimo kisses you shared and the the faithfulness you have in her exceeding in life and college showed every time you talked to me. How proud you are of Jordan, Christopher, Evan, Rachael, Laura, Ally, Sydney, Lillie, and Brooke. And Uncle Rudy, Christina's baby on the way. I know Uncle Rudy, you are in a better place, but it is so very hard that you vere taken away from us so unexpectedly. I will miss your calls and I will miss what I loved doing the most is checking and taking care of you. Taking you food, buying you snacks and so much more. We didn't have to do these things, but our love for you couldn't keep us away. Mom (Sis) will miss so very much. She didn't have to think twice about bringing you food, cleaning the apartment, or just checking on her big brother. We always will hold so many many memories of you. I know you will always be watching over us, but your presense will be deeply missed. Heather was saying that she will miss going in the apartment seeing you sitting on the couch with Lucky-Dog, your loud tv, your smile, your laugh, and your jokes. Your faithfulness to God and your faithfulness to be in church I will never forget. You were so very proud of the newly renovated St. Anthony's Cathedral. You were always so giving and putting everyone first. This is what made you the most happy. Since your passing, so many people have shared stories about what a difference you have made in their lives, giving money to those in need, helping people out, giving to your family, and of course fixing your families wrecked cars - Especially mine Uncle Rudy. Wait a minute - I need you - who will fix my cars now! I know the Lord has a purpose for everything, but I hope and pray that you didn't suffer any pain. I hope you weren't calling out for us to help you, because you know that we would have been right there for you. Uncle Rudy you were our Angel, but God must have needed another Angel - I guess he needed You. I know that Grandma and Grandaddy are happy you are home and embracing eachother. I just wanted one more hug and kiss. I love you so very much Rudy Booty Tooty. Love and Kisses, Your Niece Debbie SUE
