Avon Tanton, 59, of Votaw, Texas died Thursday, April 07, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral service will be Sunday, April 10, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Votaw Worship Center in Votaw with burial to follow at Felps Cemetery in Thicket. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, April 9, 2005 from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Worship Center. Arrangements are handled by Broussard’s, 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas.
Avon was a native and lifelong resident of Votaw and was a Boilermaker.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Tanton of Votaw; daughters, Dianne Love of Votaw, Lee-Ann Alpers of Saratoga; sons, Jimmy Dean Tanton of Thicket and Joshua Cartwright of Votaw; mothers, Mildred Tanton and Edith Loftin; sisters, Carol, Barbara Ann, and Minnie Pearl; brothers, Dennis Ray, Chester, David Lynn, Robert, and Billy Joe; and seven grandchildren, Tessa, Kenneth, Zach, Brittany, Taylor, Terra and Zane.
