Marvin Waites 57, of Pampa died April 5, 2005 from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Dr., Winnie, followed by interment in Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
For the last three years, Mr. Waites has resided in Pampa. Prior to that, he was a long time resident of the Winnie area and was retired from U.S. Steel in Baytown. While living in Winnie he worked with the EMS and was former fire chief.
Marvin in survived by his wife, Cherri Waites of Pampa, sons, Blair Waites and his wife Heather of Winnie, and Jason Waites and his wife Dedra of Pampa; daughters, Jeanie Martinez and her husband Pascual of Winnie, Bridget Chester and her husband Brian of Winnie, Wendy Waites of Odessa and Margaret Waites of Pampa; brother John Waites of Winnie; sister, Donette Matthews and her husband Elzie of Winnie and sixteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Doucet.
