Wes Christopher was a beloved husband, father, son and brother. Born in Beaumont, Texas, Wes was a great father who loved his three boys. He never met a stranger and had many loyal friends. A remarkable athlete – outstanding in every sport he played, especially golf, he graduated from Louisiana State University where he played on the golf team. Wes played in both the U.S. and British Amateurs, and in two U.S. Mid Amateurs. Gifted with an amazing memory and mind – able to recall stories from years past in perfect detail, Wes loved learning new things, playing with his sons, and his many friends and family. Our hearts are broken for our tragic loss.
Wes is survived by his wife, Karen and his three children, Brock, Carson and Tyce of Kingwood; his parents, Cheryl and Gary Christopher of Beaumont; his brother, Monty Christopher and his wife Holly of Beaumont; his sister, Molly Christopher Watson and her husband Davis of College Station; his grandmother, Virginia Christopher of Beaumont; his sisters-in-law, Kelly McGlaun and Kristi Morrison, and his mother-in-law, Wanda McGlaun all of Pinewood; his father-in-law, Waylon McGlaun; and many dear cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services for Wes will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Calvary Baptist Church in Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N. Major Drive in Beaumont. His burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. A gathering of his many family and friends will be from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday evening at the home of his parents.
