Jacob Kent, 22, of Winnie died April 2, 2005 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

Jacob was born on December 20, 1982 in Houston, TX. He graduated from High Island School and was a life long resident of the High Island-Winnie area where he was employed as a plumber with Kent Plumbing Co.

Our Jacob was a hugger, he hugged you no matter what, we will miss his crooked little smile that lit up a room when he walked in, his big bear hugs, his contagious laugh, his trusting friendship, his help without complaint, and his listening ear when you needed him.

He is survived by his parents, Gary and Jan Kent of High Island; brothers, Garrett Kent of High Island, and Ryan Kent of Pflugerville, Tx.; a foster brother Dylan, a foster sister Kayla; and his grandmother, JoAnn Bryant of Gilchrist; cousins Laura and husband Michael, Lindsey, David, Cody and wife Dana; Aunt Loyce Rey, Uncle John, Aunt Denise, Uncle Paul and Aunt Susan; girlfriend, Morgan.

Even though we are crushed and bruised, we know God loves this family, and God told us what to expect as we went to the scene. God will carry us through this, and we will not like it. May God Bless you all, fill you with love and provide you with strength and forgive our weakness.

My 'little man', never a day goes by that I don't think about you and re-live those terrible moments when we arrived on the scene. But, some days are filled with happy tears, remembering the fun things, your humor, smiles and hugs. Those things can not be replaced. You are here with us always. Thank you for your good friends that have been so comforting to me, but most of all, my comfort is knowing you are with our Lord in Heaven, and I am so excited about seeing you again. Mummy loves you.
