Johnnie Bray, 83, of Port Arthur, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at Park Place Medical Center in Port Arthur.
Graveside services, and burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005 at the Blair Cemetery in Timpson with Rev. Rick Erwin officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday evening at Broussard’s in Nederland.
Mrs. Bray was a native of Jones, Louisiana and lived in the Port Arthur area for 43 years. She retired from the Beaumont Neurological Center in Beaumont as a food service supervisor with 43 years of service.
Mrs. Bray was preceded in death by her son, Richard Dean Bray. She is survived by her three daughters, Delene Foster Oistad and husband Leif of Wildwood, Lavenia Durso of Nederland, and Sharon Garrard and husband James of Beaumont; one sister, Irene Wooden and husband Ward of Monroe, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Shayne Riley, Shawna Riley, Kelly Sparks, Sgt. Ransom Garrard, Letty Garrard, Susan Garrard, and Roy James Bray. Also four great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bray was a loving mother, and grandmother to her family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
