Peter Fernandez Orta, 66, of Beaumont died March 28, 2005 at his residence. Born in Orange and a lifelong resident of the area, he worked as a manager for Hi Lo Auto Parts.
Peter is survived by his daughters, Betty Carmen Johnson and her husband Freddy of Orange, Rhea Denise Hartman of Lake Jackson, Angel Orta Arena and her husband Mark of Sour Lake, Alice Cannon and her husband Jackie of Kansas, Adelita Hamor and her husband Darrell of Little Cypress and June Marie Jordan of Sour Lake; brothers, Roy Orta, Alex Orta, Felix Orta, Martin Orta and Bobby Orta all of Orange; sisters, Alice Blanchard, Carmen Huckabay, Mary Grimes, Beatrice Chesson and Rosita Reid, eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Earline Hendricks, daughter, Donna Marie Adams, his parents and his sister, Connie.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2005 Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont followed by burial at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bridge City. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the mortuary.
