Rowena “Sissie” Tanner, 51, of Broaddus, died Sunday, March 20, 2005 at. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Broussard’s 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas. Burial will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson. A gathering of family and friends will be today from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 at the mortuary.
A native of Saratoga, Rowena lived in Zavalla for 4 years before moving to Broaddus and was a Medical Records Clerk for the Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin.
She is survived by her husband: Cecil Tanner of Broaddus; daughter: Nicole Rummer of Hemphill; son Aaron Bear of Saratoga; brothers: Richard Campbell of Saratoga, Rodger Campbell of Beaumont and 4 grandchildren: T.J. Rummer, Emily Rummer, Lamar Shelton Bear and Kaylee Bear.
