Alton Earl Stanley, 70 of Nederland died Thursday, March 17, 2005 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston.
A native of Port Arthur, he was born July 11, 1934 and was a life long residence on the mid-county area. He was a faithful member of Magnolia Assembly of God Church in Port Neches. Mr. Stanley was retired from Ameripol-Synpol as a Lab Technician Supervisor working from 1952-1983. He was a graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and attended Lamar University, and a past Worshipful Master of the Nederland Masonic Lodge #1368 in 1971 and District Deputy Grand Master in 1973 and a member of the Almina Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Stanley of Nederland, and a host of friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00-6:00 pm Sunday, March 20, 2005 at Broussard’s Mortuary 505 12th. St. Nederland. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday, March 21, 2005 at Broussard’s Nederland Chapel with Reverend Frank Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
