Florence Evelyn Meshwert — In Loving Memory

Florence Evelyn Meshwert, 84, of Groves, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016. She was born on January 16, 1932, in Port Arthur, to Lillian Hilton and Elder Gilbert, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.

Survivors include her children, Roxie Knighten of Silsbee; Bonnie Parker of Groves; Sherry Porter of Fannett; Ricky Cubbage of Houston; and Karla Trahan of Fort Worth; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Wolman; stepfather, Alexander Wolman; son, Forrest Cubbage; and husband, John G. Meshwert.

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland.

In loving memory, There's not a day that goes by your not thought of, be it a happy, sad, or one of the difficult day memories, we miss them all. You fought the horrible disease of Alzheimer's for a long time, but in the end, even though your no longer with us, you won the fight. You can now remember anything you want, and are no longer in pain, God has you now. You left a trail of sad and broken hearts, but time will heal them. Sorry for not being there at the end, but after all the years of trying to help keep you alive, we could not bear to see the end. Please know that we love, and miss you. Love always, Bonnie, Steve and Brandi. P.S. Your room is just as you left it.
