Fred Kimmey, 82, of Kountze, died Wednesday, March 2, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the Family Life Center of First United Methodist Church in Kountze with burial to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will begin today from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Broussard’s, 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas 77625
A native of Doucette, Texas, Fred lived in Kountze for 22 years and was a retired Distribution Manager for Sears and Roebuck with 35 years of service. He was also a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Fred is preceded in death by his wife: Alma Kimmey, parents: Fred & Laura Kimmey; brother: H.T. Kimmey; sisters: Syble Dupree and Betty O’Dell.
He is survived by his brother: H.C. Kimmey and his wife Mary Ann of Navasota; sister: Robbie Abshere and her husband Norman of Pt. Neches, Charlotte Riggs and her husband Billy of Atascocita; sister-in-law: Marilyn Kimmey of Pt. Neches; numerous nieces and nephews and a very special friend Virginia “Pee Wee” Hybarger
