Madeline Calk Harris, 73, of Lumberton died Friday, February 18, 2005 in Bay City, Texas. She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered for her work ethic, kind heart and willingness to provide loving care to others.
Madeline is survived by her beloved daughter, Kathy Harris of Beaumont; brother, Thomas Calk of Van Vleck; and sisters, Evelyn Hornaday of Beaumont and Katherine Green of Bay City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Harris; her parents, Felix and Lillie Calk; and her sister, Sadie Ashcraft.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2005 at The Apostolic Church of Beaumont followed by burial at Farmer’s Cemetery, Silsbee under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday afternoon, February 20, 2005 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Mortuary.
