She was active in the Jefferson County Medical Society Auxiliary Alliance, the Book Club of the Medical Alliance, the Jasper Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and the Republican Party. She also coordinated women’s retreats for the Cenacle Retreat House of Houston. In her later years she participated in the JOY Group at St. Anne’s and the 49er’s at St. Jude’s.

Mrs. Gill is survived by her children and in-laws Peachie and Bill Schneider of Houston; Carolyn and Howard Topp of Williamsburg, Virginia; Julie and Rene Drouin of Austin; Mary and Jim Bryant of Hampton Cove, Alabama; John and Mary Gill of Dallas; and Glen and Terri Gill of Sugar Land, Texas.

When I was growing up in Texas, Mrs. Gill was always so kind to me. I am so sad to hear of her passing. As a young girl, I admired her charm and goodwill, as well as the love that she shared with her family. As an adult, I appreciate the strength of character that she possessed in order to live her life with such grace. Sending love and blessings to you.
