Rubye Bobbitt, 99, of Village Mills, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral Service will be Friday, February 11, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Village Mills with burial to follow at Holland Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, February 10, 2005 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Broussard’s, 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas 77625.
A native of Poteaux, Oklahoma, she lived in this area since 1933 and was a postmaster for Village Mills post office for 20 years. She loved quilting, making china dolls and china painting.
Rubye is preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Bobbitt and son, Dwon Bobbitt
She is survived by her son, Rhonny Bobbitt of Mission, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
