Perry Lee Williams, 86, of Lumberton, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born on September 8, 1928, to Edna Lee Williams and Perry Floyd Williams.

Perry was a United States Marine Corps veteran and worked all of his life in the oilfield industry. It was his passion. He enjoyed taking his dog, “Missy”, on long walks. Perry loved the spring time and watching the beauty of God’s creation come to life.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda Meehan and her husband, Tim, of Lumberton; grandson, Joseph Crawford and his wife, Christie, of Booneville, Arkansas, whom he helped raise like his own son; brother, Perry Floyd Williams, Jr. and his wife, Nola Mae, of Lumberton; five other grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces that loved him dearly.

Perry is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret Williams; daughter, Mary Ann Taylor; brother, Ervin Andrew Williams; sisters, Edna Marie Williams and Rachael Louise Leicht.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Mr. Williams’ wishes were to be cremated and not to have any services. His family will follow those wishes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
