Thelma J. Vincent Smith, 76, of Beaumont passed away on February 4, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. Born August 21, 1928 in Morse, Louisiana to Elzie and Eliza Richard, Mrs. Smith has lived the past 50 years in Beaumont.
Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Clydelle Marek. Survivors include her loving husband of 27 years, Ben Smith; sons Ernie Vincent and wife Anne of San Antonio, Dick Vincent and wife Kay of Houston, and David Vincent and wife Ana of Nashville; three sisters, Jane Bonnin of Orange, Viola Richard of Lumberton, and Wanda Richard of Port Arthur; one brother, Emery Richard and wife Barbara Jean of Sulphur, Louisiana; two grandchildren, Richie Vincent and Carrie Vincent, both of Houston; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends
Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Broussard’s Mortuary on Major Drive in Beaumont, followed by a graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beaumont. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
