Clara & Jerry, My heart is truly broken for you. There are no words I can say that will comfort you but please know that you are in my thoughts. I do not know why things like this happen but you must turn to your faith to help you through this. When I lost my brother many years ago I thought that I would not be able to bare it but I did. I wish I could tell you it doesn't hurt anymore because it does but it is like a sweet hurt. I am sorry, it is hard to describe. Dear Clara: Words are empty at this time, but perhaps in a year from now you will be able to read these notes and know that my heart was crying with yours for the loss of your sweet son. Years ago my only brother died when he was young and I know that my faith helped me through it all--even today. I wish I could do or say something to really help you, but I know that my words are hollow at this time. I am lifting you and your family up to the heavens and I will be praying with you. I am asking Jesus to hold you in His lap and take the pain from you.
