Cordie Mae Martin, 83 of Village Mills, died Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral Service will be Friday, January 14, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Broussard’s, 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas with burial to follow at Blue Water Cemetery in Polk County. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 Thursday, January 13, 2005 at the funeral home.
A native of Polk County, Cordie Mae lived in Village Mills for 41 years where she was a wife, mother and grandmother and was devoted to her family and church.
Cordie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Martin and by one brother and five sisters.
She is survived by her son, James Martin and his wife Ruth of Village Mills; daughter, Cindy Porter and her husband Greg of Village Mills; sister, Marie Vinson of Chester; grandchildren, Brian and Courtney Martin, Misti and Dan Lackey, Heather and Paul Hull, Dewayne and Lisa Hicks, Gary Robinson and Chuck Robinson; and nine great grandchildren.
