Ryan Matthew Johnson, 32, of Beaumont, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014, in Houston, Texas. He was born August 3, 1981, in Nederland, Jefferson County, Texas, to James Conrad and Christina Earle Roades Johnson.

Ryan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and he proudly served a valiant, two-year mission for his faith in Ventura, California, humbly ministering to the region’s Spanish-speaking population. A dearly beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, and father, Ryan’s life is measured by his enduring love for others and sincere willingness to help those in need.

He is survived by his beautiful wife of ten years, Maren Johnson; his precious children, Braydon and Isabella Johnson, all of Beaumont, Texas; treasured sisters, Jenna Tupper of Groves, Texas, Angela Letulle of Port Neches, Texas, and Paige Reeves of Orangefield, Texas; his devoted parents, James Conrad “JC” and Christina Johnson of Bullard, Texas; and numerous other dearly loved cousins, nephews, nieces, and family members.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James Francis and Margarette Opal Johnson of Woodville, Tyler County, Texas, and Clifford Earl Roades and Elizabeth Mac Farlaue Jenkins, both of El Campo, Wharton County, Texas.

Ryan’s warm heart, cheerfulness, and laughter will be deeply missed, but the memory of his example will continue to bless and inspire the lives of all those who knew and loved him.

A gathering of Ryan’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm, Monday, May 26, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7785 Weaver Drive, Beaumont, with his interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may be donated to the Johnson Family Fund at www.youcaring.com to help cover expenses incurred by the family.

The family of Ryan Johnson wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to all those who have expressed their love and support to our family in this time of grief.
