Joe Harris Landon, 67, of Lumberton, died Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on February 5, 1946, in Amarillo, to Nell Fox Landon and Harris Landon, and had been a longtime resident of the area. Joe was a mortgage loan officer with Citi Bank Mortgage, Beaumont.
He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Sharon Ridley Landon of Lumberton; son, Trent Harris Landon and his wife, Shelly, of San Francisco, California; stepson, Jeff Ridley and his wife, Heidi Smith; and stepdaughter, Jami Reese and her husband, Jeremy, all of Lumberton; granddaughters, Madelyn Reese, Marley Reese, Kamryn Smith, and Charley Ridley; sisters, Diane Stouse and her husband, Jim, of Amarillo and Rue Landon of Midland; and his beloved pets, Ava and Duke.
A gathering of Mr. Landon’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
