Mary E. Odom,
67, of Port Neches, died Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Baptist Hospitals of
Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on November 1, 1945, to Emma Lena and
Lewis Charles Odom, in Gosnell, Arkansas, and had been a resident of the area
since 1998. Mary worked for many years as a bank teller before her retirement. She is
survived by her children, Carla Robertson and her husband, James, of Port Neches; Wanda Chandler of Darian,
Georgia; Billy Chandler of Woodbine, Georgia; Joyce Hagues and her husband,
Brian, of Tucson, Arizona; and Lu-an Renner and her husband, Sean, of Eloy,
Arizona; twenty-one grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosie
Dewey of Casa Grande, Arizona; Bessie Conger and her husband, Johnny, of
Coolidge, Arizona; and Laura Davlin and her husband, Ernest, of Flint; and
brother, Billy Odom and his wife, Darlene, of Casa Grande, Arizona. Mary is
preceded in death by her parents. A memorial
service for Ms. Odom will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Freedom
Christian Fellowship Church, 1406 Port Neches Avenue, Port Neches, under the
direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A family
committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont. Memorial
