Lee Preston Crosby 
December 17, 1921 - August 14, 2013

Lee Preston Crosby, 91, of Beaumont, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 14, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 17, 1921, in Emilee, to Essie Ruth and George Thomas Crosby. Preston proudly served his country during World War II serving in the European Theater under General Patton.

 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. Preston worked in refineries; and he always loved his work and friends he made. He was a member of North End Baptist Church,

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of sixty-eight years, Bennie Crosby; daughters, Linda Mack and son-in-law, Billy and Cheryl Boykin and son-in-law, Charles; grandchildren, Brian Mack and his wife, Lori; Erik Mack; David Boykin and his wife, Morgan; and Heather Tucker Soto and her husband, Steve; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Tucker, Whitney and William Mack, and Madeline Boykin; brother, Douglas Crosby and his wife, Opal; sister-in-law, Florence Crosby; and nieces, nephews, and many friends.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and George Crosby; brothers, Rupert, Quinton, and Marshall; and sister, Clarice Goza.

 

A gathering of Mr. Crosby’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Broussard’s, with a graveside service to follow at 4:00 p.m., at Ebenezer Cemetery, FM 256, Colmesneil.
