Marion “Cowboy” Alford, 89, of Port Neches, died Friday, August 9, 2013, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.  Mr. Alford was born on July 7, 1924, in Oklahoma, to Mary and William Alford.  He served in both the United States Army and Navy, and retired as the owner of Alford’s Construction.

Mr. Alford is survived by his daughters, Pamela Cain of Port Neches and Sharon Ward and her husband, Mike, of Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren, Aaron Williamson and his girlfriend, Casey Winegeart, Tara Ward and Dawn Robinson; ten great- grandchildren; and one sister.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Rodney Alford.

His committal service will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers Drive, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.
