John Royse Holt, 63, of Beaumont, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on December 28, 1949, in Wharton, Texas, to Winona Colleen Hall Holt and Richard Elliott Holt, and had been a long time resident of the area. John was a United States Air Force veteran and was a control system engineer with RDS.

He is survived by his wife, Carlene Marie Bowie Holt; sons, Paul Anthony Holt; Mark Brandon Holt and wife, Brandi; and Michael Jay Holt; grandsons, Brandon Holt and Caden Holt; brothers David Holt and wife, Sherri and James Holt and wife, Sandra; and sister, Peggy Pridgen and husband, Phillip.

A gathering of Mr. Holt’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 29, 2013, at Broussard’s. A family committal will follow at Ryan Cemetery, Cleveland.
