Barbara Jean Patterson, 75, of Fannett, died Monday, July
15, 2013, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on January 29, 1938, in
Beaumont, to Ida Velva Clubb Robinson and Joseph Ernest Robinson.
Barbara Jean enjoyed growing orchids, was a great
seamstress, liked scratch offs and seeing what was under them once they were
cleaned off, going to the casinos, feeding and watching hummingbirds, and was
known for her great southern cooking and cooking everything from scratch. She
enjoyed people, and loved having all her family and friends around her.
Survivors include her husband of forty years this August
4th, Robert E. Patterson Sr., of Fannett; sons, Bob Patterson Jr., and his
wife, Barbara, of Abilene, and Bart Danforth of Fannett; daughters, Vicky
Pirtle Corbello and her husband, Kent, of Kountze; Angela Danforth; and Tami
Horne Webb and her husband, Jonathan, all of Fannett; brother, Joe Robinson
Jr., of Bolivar; sisters, Patsy Hanchett of Fannett, and Cora Reich of Dayton; sister-in-laws,
Cathy Robinson of Winnie, and Mabel Verret of Milton, Louisiana; grandchildren,
Cammie Sheldon and her husband, James; Cory Patterson and his wife, Becky;
Curtis Patterson and his wife, Jennifer; Joe Pirtle and his wife, Felicia; John
Pirtle and his wife, Christian; Paul Pirtle and his wife, Michelle; Aimee
Grant; Brandon Hilll; Jennifer Webb; Natasha Webb;Michael Corbello; and Carissa
Parr and her husband, Robert ; great-grandchildren, Jared Sheldon, Jessa
Sheldon, Aslyn Patterson, Caedmon Patterson, Makayla Pirtle, Pierce Pirtle,
Lindsey Carroll, Shelly Carroll, Harleigh Pirtle, Callie Pirtle, Jori Pirtle,
Julien Pirtle, Jasper Pirtle, Kade Castille, Cashley Joseph, Robby Parr, Ian
Parr and Jakob Parr; numerous beloved nieces and nephews and other family
members and friends.
A gathering of Barbara Jean’s family and friends will be at
8:00 a.m. with her memorial service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013, at
Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her committal was held at
Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
