Teresa “Terrie” Ann Gustafson, 51, of Sour Lake, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Houston, following a long illness. She was born Teresa Ann Milligan on September 15, 1961, to Jack Milligan and the late Ann Milligan, of Vidalia, Louisiana. Teresa married Paul Gustafson on September 3, 1983, and they lived in Louisiana before relocating to Texas in 1998. She worked at CommunityBank of Texas, Beaumont and was very involved in the community.  

Teresa is survived by her husband, Paul, and their son, Garrett;  father, Jack Milligan of Vidalia, Louisiana; sisters, Toni Lambert and her husband, Keith, of Oakridge, Louisiana and Tara Milligan of Sour Lake; brother, Tommy Milligan and his wife, Leeann; nieces, Laci Fitt of Oakridge, Louisiana, and McKenzie and Isabella Milligan of Natchez, Mississippi; and great-niece, Presley Fitt.

Terrie was very devoted to her family and her many friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and the “open door” hospitality of her home. 

A gathering of Mrs. Gustafson’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2013, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 4090 Delaware, Beaumont. A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Natchez City Cemetery, 2 Cemetery Road, Natchez, Mississippi.
