Charles A. Perkins, 81, of Hamshire, died July 13, 2013, at the Arboretum of Winnie. A longtime resident of the Winnie - Hamshire area, he was born in Oakdale, Louisiana, on April 16, 1932. He was co-owner of Perkins Trailer Company.

He is survived by his wife, Elnore Perkins, of Hamshire; son, Curtis Perkins, of Leesville, Louisiana; daughters, Glenda Hamilton and her husband, Rick of Pasadena; Cyndi Arbeau, of Canada; and Charla Sanders, and her husband, Brice, of Oakdale, Louisiana; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A gathering of Mr. Perkins’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p. m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 9:00 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
