Rita B. Laguna, 92, of Beaumont, died Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Clairmont. She was born on April 25, 1921, to Mary Veronica Kellner Marquez and Manuel Marquez in Oak Park, Illinois.

Survivors include her children, Frank Laguna, of Norfolk, Virginia; Victoria Baker and her husband, Louis, of Jacksonville, Florida; Mario Laguna of New Mexico; Rosario Laguna of Beaumont; and Cesar Laguna of Oregon; grandchildren, Shantell, Michelle, Paula Renee, Tina, Mary Frances, Nikki; great-grandchildren, Amber Romedy, Ashley Romedy, James A. Freeman, Corley Pompa, Kylie Pompa, Nicholas Smith and Cameron Smith; great-great-grandson, Ayden Lamar; and nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Laguna; sons, Ricardo and Carlos Laguna; mother, Mary Veronica Kellner; father, Manuel Marquez; and aunt, Francis Kellner.

A Rosary for Mrs. Laguna will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday July 10, 2013, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5075 Bigner Road, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
