Dalton Joseph Gauthreaux, Jr., 57, of Winnie, died at his niece’s residence in Sour Lake, Monday, July 8, 2013. He was born on December 26, 1955, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to Flossie Comeaux and Dalton Gauthreaux, Sr., and had lived in New Orleans before moving to Winnie in 1974. He worked in the construction industry as a laborer, and for Dalton Edmonds. In his later years, he was employed by Sherill’s Trailer Park.
Mr. Gauthreaux is survived by his brothers, Robert Gauthreaux and his
wife, Donna, of Stowell; Earl Gauthreaux of Louisiana; and Larry Gauthreaux and
his wife, Beverly, of Winnie; sisters, Linda Encalade and her husband, Villie Sr., of
South Carolina and Becky Villejoin and her husband, Randy, of Winnie;
nephews, Villie Encalade Jr., Christopher Encalade, Randy Villejoin, Jr., and Patrick
Gauthreaux; nieces, Christina Leger, Jessica Gauthreaux, Lisa Meissner,
Felicia Wilchek, Ashley Villejoin, Nicole LaLonde, and Summer Villejoin. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Claudette
Gauthreaux. The family would like to thank his nurses, aids, sitter, Melissa, and family
and friends who were there for him.
