Lucie A. Aldridge, 80, of Beaumont, passed away at her home, Sunday, July 7, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 20, 1932, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Lucie Lee Atkinson and Jay Reid Atkinson.

Lucie attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority.  She married James R. Aldridge in June of 1952 and lived in a number of states prior to moving to Beaumont in 1981.  Lucie was a broker's assistant at Smith Barney before retiring and opening Millenium Fitness.  She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and volunteered at Some Other Place.

Lucie is survived by her daughter, Lucie Aldridge Fralicks and her husband, Kevin, of Nolanville; son, James Drew Aldridge of Beaumont; grandchildren, Erin Fralicks and her fiancé, Ryan Whitlock, of North Richland Hills; Elissa Worster and her husband, Wesley, of Arlington; and Jake Fralicks of Belton; and her cats.

A memorial service for Ms. Aldridge will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church-Dishman Chapel, 3430 Harrison Avenue, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
