Katie V Williams, 94, of Beaumont, died Saturday, July 6, 2013. She was born on July 30, 1918, to A V Welch Davis and William Hamilton “Hamp” Davis, in Smith’s Ferry, and had been a resident of the area since 1932.

Survivors include her children, Marjorie Hall; Kenneth Williams and his wife, Karen; and Jan Dyer; grandchildren, Stephanie Hall; Susan Hall Contreras and her husband, Michael; Gary Dyer; and Kendra “Stormi” Williams; great-grandchildren, Katie Broussard; Stephen Broussard and his wife, Amanda; Sydney Scheufens-Hargroder and her husband, Michael; Shelby Scheufens and his wife, Veronica; and Corpsman William “Bill” Franklin Dyer and his wife, Jenee; great-great-grandchildren, Alexis Broussard, Kaiden Broussard, and Marileigh Hargroder; and one brother, Hughie Max Davis.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, William Perry “Bill” Williams; sisters, Edna Griffin, Lillian Heider, Sadie Ruth Davis, and Billye Jean Marecek; brothers, Albert Davis and Bryant Davis; and two sons-in-law, William G. “Bill” Hall and Frank Dyer.

A gathering of Mrs. Williams’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 8, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Magnolia Springs Cemetery, Magnolia Springs, Texas.
