Carolina Chauvin, 63, of Nederland, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013. She was born July 6, 1949, in Port Arthur to Manuel and Dolores Vara. Carolina devoted her life to caring for her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Chauvin of Nederland, son, John Chauvin, of Houston; brother, Oscar Vara; and sisters, Alice Hernandez of Port Arthur, Toni Guerrero of Las Vegas, Nevada and Rosa Venegas of Port Arthur; and longtime companion, Milby Chauvin of Nederland.

Carolina is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Robert and Raymond "Ray" Vara.

A private family committal will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
