Wayne Lamar Cook, 81, of Silsbee, died Friday, June 28, 2013.  He was born on January 23, 1932, in Hardin County, Texas, to Maude Denson Cook and Hebert Cook. 

Survivors include his wife, Edna Earle Cook; children, Eddie Cook and his wife, Donna, of Beaumont; Bryan Cook and his wife, Connie, of Fred; Sharon Azar of Houston; and Peggy Conway and her husband, Marv, of Katy; grandchildren, Joseph Cook and his wife, Haley, of Silsbee; Courtney Azar of Houston; Matthew Creamer of Beaumont; and Kevin, Ashley, and Max Conway, all of Katy; great-grandchild, Addison Cook; and sisters, Doris Biscamp of Houston; Jean Adams of Groves; and Bonnie Free of Houston.  He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Lamar Cook.

A gathering of Mr. Cook’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2013, at First Pentecostal Church, 1420 North 5th Street, Silsbee, with interment to follow at Knupple Cemetery, Silsbee.
