Kenneth Ray Elms, 71, of Nederland, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Houston Hospice, Houston. He was born September 23, 1941, to Leona Mae Hibbs and Delon Elms in Brownwood, and had been a resident of Nederland for the last forty-five years. Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army, and he worked at the Port Neches Asphalt plant for thirty-four years before his retirement. He was loved by his family and will be dearly missed.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Larrie Elms of Nederland; sons, Michael Elms and his wife, Brandie, of Lumberton, Mike Welch and his wife, Gretchen, of LaPorte, and Jerry Bandeaux and his wife, Debbie, of Port Neches; grandchildren, Micah and Sydnie Elms, Brett and Kyle Welch Kasey Bandeaux, and Tanner Clack; brother, Ronnie Elms and his wife, Debbie; and sister, Beverly Rivera and her husband, Gilbert.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Elms’ family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
