Consuelo Coralia Velazquez, 85, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013. She was born on September 3, 1927, in Havana Cuba, to Andrea Jorge Delgado and Agusto Delgado, and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont. She enjoyed family photos and watching Spanish television. Consuelo was a great wife and mother, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Consuelo is survived by her daughters, Maria Lis Crostley and her husband, Charles and Amarilis Velazquez, all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Nadine McConkey, Jessica Delia, and Monique Lindquist; special granddaughter, Denise Rhorer; great-grandchildren, Stephen McConkey, Charles McConkey, and Matthew McConkey, Alyson Brown, Katherine Brown, Abigale Delia, and Luke Delia; sister, Ondina Hernandez of Cuba; brothers, Oneste Delgado of Cuba and Eduardo Delgado of Key West, Florida; sisters-in-law, Cecilia Head of Beaumont. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Velazquez; parents; and brothers, Cardenio Delgado, Evidio Delgado, and Augustico Delgado. A Rosary for Mrs. Velazquez will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 767 Avenue A, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
