John Piepenhagen, 80, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013. He was born on July 27, 1932, in Stettin, Germany, to Charlotte Spindler Piepenhagen and Willi Piepenhagen, and had been a longtime resident of the Beaumont area. John was a retired steel worker. He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Andrea Piepenhagen; children, Gale Daigle and her husband, Terry, of Beaumont; Judy Castillo and her husband, Charles, of Lumberton; Diane Loe and Tony Cervantes, of Silsbee; William “Bill” Piepenhagen and his wife, Charlotte, of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Holly Thomas, Dustin and Rachel Daigle, Garrett Thomas and Missy Fox, Dezrae Loe and Cody Crawford, Matthew Castillo, Drew Daigle, Tyler Thomas, Carly Piepenhagen, Lucas Loe, Colby Castillo, Mikelyn Castillo, Aaron Piepenhagen, and Travis Castillo; great-granddaughter, Aria Daigle; and cousin, Hanna Rosa Hoffman. A gathering of Mr. Piepenhagen’s family and friends will begin at 10:30 a.m., with his memorial service to follow at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
