Rasmus “Sonny” Willis Rasmussen, 71, of Missoula, Montana, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013.  He was born April 2, 1942, in Galveston, to Katherine Gallier Rasmussen and George Barnes Rasmussen, and previously lived in Silsbee before moving to Montana last year.  Sonny was a United States Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Rasmussen; daughter, Marnie Rasmussen and her husband, Matt; grandson, Ashel Walsh, all of Montana; six sisters; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Sean Rasmussen; and one sister.

A gathering of Mr. Rasmussen’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 24, 2013, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at R. S. Farmer Cemetery, Silsbee.
