Charles Pellerin 
January 16, 1939 - December 11, 2004

 

Charles “Mickey” Pellerin, 65, of Lumberton, died Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital. A native of Beaumont and lifelong resident of Lumberton, Mickey was a retired sales representative with Best Foods and his hobbies included playing tennis, spending quality time with his grandchildren, coaching little league baseball, softball and basketball.

 

He was a member of the Lumberton City Council from 1990 until 2002. He served as Mayor Pro-tem from 1994 until 1996, Chairman of Lumberton City Hall Building Committee, Member of the Lumberton Economic Development Corporation and the Lumberton City Council advisor to the Library Building Committee Board. During Mickey’s time in office many projects were accomplished including building of the new Lumberton City Hall, Lumberton Library, Lumberton Senior Citizens Center, Lumberton Police Station and Municipal Court.

 

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at Woodcrest United Methodist Church in Lumberton under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N. Major Dr., Beaumont, followed by burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. Pallbearers will be Norman Reynolds, Earl Hicks, Robert Mason, Jerry Williamson, Kenneth Furlow, Don Surrratt, Bill Resch, and David Nelson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Fred McIntyre and Sam Sanford. A gathering of Family and Friends will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday evening at the mortuary.

 

Survivors include his wife of forty years, Linda Faye Pellerin, of Lumberton; son, Steven Mark Pellerin and his wife Carissa of Lumberton; daughter, Kellie Michele Woodard and her husband Lance of Lumberton; grandchildren, Alexa Pellerin, Chase Pellerin, Kambri Pellerin, and Adison Woodard; and brother, Don Pellerin of Houston.
