Lula Rebekah Seaman 
March 16, 1919 - June 6, 2013

Lula R. Seaman, 94, of Beaumont, and formerly of Pittsburg, Kansas, died Thursday, June 06, 2013, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont.

She was born on March, 16, 1919, at Ianta, Missouri, to Oscar Lee Denny and Stella Burr Denny. Lula lived most of her life in Pittsburg, until moving to Beaumont in December 2011. She was married to Fred Hitchcock in 1934, and later divorced him. In 1963, she married Edward Seaman who preceded her in death in 1987. Lula was a member of the Country Side Christian Church, Pittsburg, and a member of the Eastern Stars Rob Morris #74 of Pittsburg.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Bartelli of Hamshire; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Lula is preceded in death by her son, Jerry Hitchock; daughter, Virginia Austin; brothers, Frank, Lonnie, Claude and David Denny; and sisters, Vola Johnson, Juanita O’Brien, and Kathryn Aubrey.

A gathering of Mrs. Seaman’s family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2013, Broussard’s, with her grandson, Reverend Joel Hitchcock, of Zavala, officiating. Her interment will be held at a later date in Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery, 149 South Highway 69, Pittsburg, Kansas.
